API Keys
API keys let developer tools and automations access Redo Page without using your browser session.
When To Use An API Key
- Connecting the Redo CLI to a site or organization.
- Syncing local content into Redo Page.
- Building internal scripts that read or update site content.
Create And Store Keys Carefully
Only create keys for tools you trust. Store keys in a password manager, secret manager, or local environment variable. Do not paste API keys into public repos, support tickets, screenshots, or shared documents.
Scopes
Use the narrowest access that works. Read-only keys are safer for reporting and inspection. Write access should be reserved for tools that need to create, update, publish, or sync content.
Rotate Or Remove Keys
Remove keys you no longer use. Rotate a key if it may have been exposed, if a teammate leaves, or if an automation moves to a new environment.
